THE TSONGA/PEDI PRINT

Our interpretation of the vibrant Tsonga culture draws inspiration from their striking traditional fabrics, boldly tied across the chest and elegantly wrapped around the head.

At the heart of the print are diamond shapes, inspired by the lively rhythms of Shangaan electro music, a dynamic sound synonymous with the Tsonga community. Circular motifs reflect the iconic Xibelani skirt, gracefully wrapped around the waist in dance and celebration, while delicate hints of leaf motifs evoke a nostalgic, natural beauty.

The composition is thoughtfully completed in timeless hues inspired by the classic colours of the Pedi culture, blending tradition with contemporary design.
